A warm hello…

History in the making :-)

My first post on the Eredivisie Offside blog! Yea…

As far as you can get from Holland (I’m in Australia) I will try to post relevant and interesting content pertaining to the Eredivisie… Can’t wait, because this might well be the year that

PSV won’t win the title
Ajax wins another European trophy
Feyenoord wins the title
and Van Gaal won’t finish the season…

And who knows, ADO Den Haag will snatch a UEFA cup ticket for next season, hahahaaa….

Some of you may know me from the exciting Oranje blog. I’ll invite my friends – all infused with the Dutch virus – to come and join us here.

Good things are happening, my friends… Stay tuned!

Going to the Arsenal game? Find out how to get to North London and where to stay near Emirates Stadium.

This blog is a fantastic idea. I’ve been following the Eredivisie every since my countryman Salcido joined PSV about 2 years ago. Great league and great teams.

    Thanks all.

Richard, Makaay had a good first year at Feyenoord last season, considering… The team needed some work, although Van Marwijk coached the club to the top ranks in the first half season. However, due to his early marriage to the Dutch National team and some injuries (Slory, Bruins, Vlaar, De Cler and others) Feyenoord sort of tumbled in the second season’s half. Makaay did ok, he is not the type of player to take the team by the hand and “push” them forward. Makaay has always depended on quality service and he didn’t get that much. He started injured this season and the Ajax game was the first he played for Feyenoord. Missing a huge chance, I might add.
